Speaking Part Information
During the week of Monday, March 12th during music class, 4th graders were introduced to the script. Auditions for speaking parts will be held on Tuesday, May 1st, Thursday, May 4th, Friday, May 6th, Tuesday, May 8th and Wednesday, May 9th in the music room during lunch recess. For the audition, students should choose one character's lines from one scene to rehearse. Lines need not be memorized for the audition, but we will be looking for the following criteria:
1) Loud, clear speaking voice with inflection
2) Eye contact with audience
3) Comfort level in performing in front of an audience

All 4th grade students will have the opportunity to audition for singing solos. Solo auditions will be held DURING LUNCH RECESS on Tuesday, May 1st, Thursday, May 4th, Friday, May 6th, Tuesday, May 8th and Wednesday, May 9th. Students may audition for speaking, singing solo, and piano/instrumental prelude parts, but they must let Mrs. Prestipino know which is their preferred choice if they were to be chosen. Audition results will be posted once all of the singing, speaking, and piano/instrumental prelude auditions are complete.
For the audition, we will be looking for the following criteria:
1) Clear pitch and pleasant tone quality
2) Confidence in singing in front of an audience
3) Eye contact/stage presence when performing in front of an audience

Auditions will be held on Tuesday, May 1st, Thursday, May 4th, Friday, May 6th, Tuesday, May 8th and Wednesday, May 9th (bringing any sheet music or instruments as needed). Students may audition for speaking, singing solo, and piano/instrumental prelude parts, but they must give Mrs. Prestipino their preferred choice for a role in the show if they were to be chosen.
